孟津梨有一千多年的历史,传说由晋皇宫芳林苑传出。晋朝潘岳“灵囿繁石榴,茂林列芳梨”的诗句中所指,就是如今的孟津梨。质优味甜,芳香怡神,故称“芳梨”。 孟津梨历史悠久,能与其媲美者甚少。
孟津梨色艳味美,皮薄质细。汁多渣少,酸甜适度,清脆可口,早熟耐贮,久负盛名。孟津梨远销港、澳、印尼、马来西亚、斯里兰卡、新加坡等十几个国家和地区,被誉为“洛阳金桔”和“中国金桔”。
孟津梨主要品种有伏梨(金屁股、马蹄酥、马蹄黄、青皮伏等)和秋梨(金平梨、猪嘴梨、白梨、秋落白等)两大类。
天生伏梨,为孟津梨的当家品种,就是传说中的贡梨。别看样子不强,果点小,单果重200克左右,最大可达300克。果肉鲜美,汁多,味甜,石细胞少,质地细脆,落地即酥。所以又叫“雪花脆”,也叫“落花酥”。被誉为“洛阳金桔”。长得虽不周正,吃着确实香甜。果肉细腻,入嘴就化,更兼汁水多且甜,咬过的地方直往外流水儿,水儿滴到地上,能凝结成晶莹的糖粒儿。肉细、汁多、渣少、清脆、香甜、甘美,能让你把犁核都吃完,还舍不得丢掉。
