洛阳樱桃,历史悠久。《尔雅》和《吴氏本草》中名为朱茱、麦英、荆桃。洛阳盆地四周,坑、凹、沟地脉多,且向阳背风,近泉水小溪,湿度、温度相宜,适宜樱桃的生长。
洛阳南部和西北部樱桃兴盛,数量多,品种好,产果量高。最为有名的有三处:一是城北的湹河,素有“湹壑朱樱”之称;以是唐代宰相李德裕的名园,平泉庄一带,素称樱山;一是城西自大凹、王坑、蔡家坑、徐家坑、王村沟连成一线的十里樱桃沟,正属隋朝时西园的一部分,是生产樱桃的地方。
洛阳樱桃主要品种是小元宝、鸭嘴型和北京红三种。樱桃的大小都在八分左右,较大的是鸭嘴型的樱桃,一般有八分以上。
洛阳樱桃的品味特点是酸甜相宜,经测试甜度在11—12度以上,历来人们都爱吃洛阳樱。洛阳樱桃除鲜美可口外,还有“调中”、“益脾”、“美志气”之功效,但热量大,食之不可过量。
Luoyang Cherries
Luoyang cherries have a long history. Luoyang Basin is located in shining places and has many springs and steamlets which endows it appropriate moisture and temperature to the growth of cherries. The southern and northwestern owns more cherries which are in great quantity, good breed and high yield. Luoyang has three major varieties: Small Yuanbao,D Duckbilled and Bejing Hong.
Luoyang cherries taste sweet and sour, which are popular with the masses. Besides delicious flavor, they still have medical functions. However, they contain high quantity of heat so that we shouldn't eat too much at a time.
