灵宝黄精

    黄精，又名老虎姜、鸡头参。为百合科植物滇黄精、黄精或多花黄精的干燥根茎。根据原植物和药材性状的差异，黄精可分为姜形黄精、鸡头黄精和大黄精三种。姜形黄精的原植物多花黄精，鸡头黄精的原植物为黄精，而大黄精（又名碟形黄精）的原植物为滇黄精。
      
    黄精以根茎入药。具有补气养阴，健脾，润肺，益肾功能。用于治疗脾胃虚弱，体倦乏力，口干食少，肺虚燥咳，精血不足，内热消渴等症。对于糖尿病很有疗效。
      
    黄精喜欢阴湿气候条件，具有喜阴、耐寒、怕干旱的特性，在干燥地区生长不良，在湿润荫蔽的环境下植株生长良好。在土层较深厚、疏松肥沃、排水和保水性能较好的壤土中生长良好；在贫瘠干旱及粘重的地块不适宜植株生长。



 

Polygonatum Sibiricum

    Polygonatum sibiricum, which is also called Tiger Ginger and belongs to liliaceae, is dried roots. It can be divided into three kinds depending on raw plants and natures of medicinal materials: ginger-shaped ones, chicken-head-shaped ones and big ones.
      
    Polygonatum sibiricums' roots have medical functions of nourishing Qi and Yin, tonifying spleen and kidney and moistening lung, and great curative effects on diseases of weakness of the spleen and the stomach, body fatigue, bad appetite, lung deficiency, cough caused by dryness, asthenia of essence and blood, internal thermal, diabetes mellitus, etc.
      
    Polygonatum sibiricums has characteristics of loving shady and moist climate, resisting cold, afraid of drought. This plant will grow very well in moist and shady environment and in thick, fertile, drained-water well soils while not well in dry and sticky soils.
